Well we received the DDGM at the March meeting. All went well we asked him to help present an Endowed Membership to our Treasuer Brother Tittle. This was given to him for his years of service to the Lodge.
If you were not at Lodge on March 1st you missed a grand event. Brother Joe Davis received the Golden Trowel Award. His family and friends were all in attendance as well as a lot of Lodge members and Masons from around the State. It was a very moving event.
I would like to congratulate are own RW David Bruton as the new District Deputy Grand Master for District 51. Also lets welcome the District team DI Bruce Butterfras, DCO Rodney Risemas and DEO Doug Leonard.
I would like to thank those that helped out with the Parade Pre-Party for the Shriners. Especially Brothers Ken Propes, Robert Leonhart and RW Keith Reynolds and their Ladies. All those that attend had a wonderful time. I think the ketchup might have been bad because some left looking a lot different then when they arrived.
We have had some sad news Glenda Sue Lackey whom we presented the Community Builders award to a couple of years ago has passed away. She was born in Kerrville but spent much of her life in Center Point, Please keep her family in your thoughts and payers.
Well we had our charity raffle. I will not name the winners here but congratulations to all. We need to also thank Brother Riley for ramrodding this raffle. He has not made is final report but I am sure that we made enough to fund our scholarships and community grants another year.
I would like to thank Brothers Leonhart and Butts and all the other Brothers for a wonderful Memorial Serive at the Center Point Cemetery. For several years now we have been going to the cemetery and preforming this service for our deceased Brethren and Texas Rangers.
I would like to congratulate Brother Jones and his whole team on a fantastic Fish Fry. This is a fraternal fund raiser. Brother Jones and his team pulled off a great and profitable event.
